I was privileged to be a visiting scholar at Johnson County Community College here in the Kansas City area. I spoke to students in the afternoon about the basics of peace journalism, and to a gathering of students and members of the public in the evening (pictured) about how peace journalism can inform and improve how journalists report about Syrian refugees. In early May, I’ll be traveling to Juba, South Sudan to teach two 3-day peace journalism seminars for South Sudanese radio journalists.
